*just from a football point of view.

The problem with Kaepernick is he's been thrust in to some category of being a great QB(a few years ago) where he has NEVER been that player. He's has never been better than average.

If he was on some other team like Buffalo or Jacksonville, he'd already been out of the league or sitting on the bench.

He's just not a very good QB, he's an excellent athlete, but as a QB he's average that was lucky to have a great coach and great team around him. He can't elevate his team, he's just not that good.

He's a bottom third type QB :manny:

Dudes were TRYING real hard to put him in the same category as Cam or Russ....but naw...he just isn't on that level, never was.

He's such a bad QB they had to change the rules to stop him

what rules were put in place to stop Kap?

and yes he is a bad QB.

there are at least 20-25 qb's in the league better than him

the changed rules so you can hit the quarterback even if he doesn't have the ball after running the read option, which is why you don't see people run it anymore, because they could just get free hits on the QB even if they handed the ball off.

You obviously don't know anything about football to judge who's good or not

20-25 Qbs haven't been the to the Super Bowl and or set the league on fire for even one season

wait, so they did that to stop Colin Kaepernick?
not just the other 20 qb's that run the same type of read option?

and going to the super bowl doesn't mean you are great, there have been many average qb's to make it to he super bowl and some of them have even won. so that doesn't hold much weight.

and one season? lol set the league on fire for one season?
his BEST season he passed for less than 3400 yards and 19 tds. with a 60% completion percentage.
but wait...he rushed for ONE more TD too :stopitslime: (he did rush for almost 700 yards though)

QBR was 86

Add his rushing and passing yards together and he would still wouldn't even crack the top 10
add all total TD's and he wouldn't even be higher than 16th
his overall QBR wouldn't even crack top 20

but yea, set the league on fire. With the most average of stats...in his BEST season ever.

c'mon man

What 20 QB's can run like him lmao.

They changed the rules because him and RG3 changed the game

The changed the rules the very next year after Jaws called him the best ever lmao

Who said he WAS GREAT?

Why does he have to be great to start.

If making the SB doesn't matter, why did they replace Alex Smith with him lmao

Alex Smith couldn't get to the SB with the same team lmao

So he's losing so he deserves to lose his job but when he was winning, oh that doesn't matter because of him. Can't be both ways.

Almost every starting QB sucks, Mark Sanchez has a job lmao, he's not better than him.

My whole point was his game revolved around the read option, when they changed the rules to make possible to get free hits on the QB even without the ball, they did to stop him and QB's like him.

If that wasn't the case they wouldnt change

those other wack QB"s playing aren't getting paid 19 million a year. He can be average....but get average pay. you want to be paid like a top guy you got to play like a top guy.

and if QB's want to act like RB's and receivers they should be willing to take the same hits as those other guys. You CAN'T have your cake and eat it too.

" If a quarterback looks like a runner, he should be prepared to be hit like a runner. As soon as the quarterback assumes a posture that suggests he is no longer involved in the play, defenses will be flagged for unnecessary roughness if they tackle him."

btw, that rule was put in BEFORE the 2013 season.

Jim Harbaugh calls NFL rules on read-option QBs 'flawed and biased'

If you're an NFL quarterback and you're running the read-option this year, you're going to get hit. The league made it clear on Thursday that read-option quarterbackswill be treated -- and hit -- like runners this season.

I got paid that money because he went to the Super Bowl lmao
Qb's been overpaid.

Matthew Stafford has done absolutely nothing and gets paid like 40 million

you trying to hard

Harbaugh seems to thinks the rule could lead to more injured quarterbacks.

"I feel like you give a license now to players to hit quarterbacks at the knee or in the head, and it just seems to be a flip-flop of what the league’s trying to get accomplished," Harbaugh said. "Players safety, I've heard [Falcons President and CEO and Competition Committee Chairman] Rich McKay talking about the Competition Committee looking into ways to reduce chop blocks or a player is getting hit at the knee and now you’re really opening up a door and giving a license to defensive players to say, 'I couldn’t tell if he clearly had the ball or not, so now we can hit him in the knee or the head.' It just, it doesn’t make sense."

Just say black qbs have a different standards than white than live it at that

They stopped running the read option for this very reason

it's not like They actually stop him, or made it ineffective

It is what it is

but they did stop him and they made him in effective.
because he can't pass.

Admit it, he's just not that great of a QB.

different standards? like passing the ball?

They stopped him, because even if he hands he ball off he could hit so they stopped running the read option.

I never said he was a great QB, I said they changed the rules for the read options which is why he doesn't have success.
If they don't run what he was good at in the first place, why do you expect him to have the same results?

I asked why does he have to be great?

You said because he got 19 million

Stafford got 40 million and hasn't had any type of the success Kap has had even playing with the best receiver in football, yet he gets a pass lmao

Just admit the black QB's have to be perfect in your eyes and whites don't

kap got 19 per year and was the 6th highest paid QB in the league when he signed.

Matt Stafford is ranked 20th in QB salaries

right about where he deserves based on his play and stats.

QB's STILL run the read option. they just have to be more obvious that they aren't running if they don't want to be hit. If he can take the hits then he should not run and learn how to throw the damn ball.

also...since we are quoting coaches

Rivera said Tuesday he sided with the league on the view of when a quarterback is free game to be hit.

"The biggest thing we talk about ... is how the quarterback has to react," Rivera said,
via ESPN.com. "If the quarterback hands the ball off and surrenders, basically stops, then he should not be hit.

A Jaws is a QB guru who studies every QB in the league said Kap was gonna be the best ever

After the season he had I can't just believe he fell off like that he is a good QB

Harbough went awol his last season in San Fran had something to do with it too
