Kaepernick was playing like crap before he got hurt no?

He played 8 games. 4 bad and 4 good. I believe one injury was prior to the start of the season and the other 2 were during. That line almost killed him. Then they made changes after he got benched.

It's not that he doesn't want to play in Chip Kelly's system; Look at what the organization did to him last season...look at what they did to a coach that turned the franchise around. All the leaks and the backstabbing, who would want to be a part of that?

The only reason Chip Kelly is even the coach of the 49ERS is because he had no other options. Anybody with options isn't going to come to San Francisco and work for Jed York and Co. This organization has become a disaster and I don't blame Kap for wanting to get the hell out.

78.5 rating with 6 TD and 5 INT. He was bad but not THAT bad. He had a few good games and a few horrible games. He was also a guy with a QB rating well over 90 in three seasons with a Super Bowl appearance.

In short, they did him dirty..

That one 4 pick game killed his numbers. Take that away and the numbers are pretty decent. Dude went to shyt mentally after that game.

I wouldn't mind Denver trading for him. :ehh: We know what he's capable of and he'd be a solid #2 over Siemen. Plus he'd actually make Brock work for that starter position. I personally wouldn't give anything higher than 5th Rd pick.
Colin Kaepernick's cap hits:
2016: 15 mil
2017:19 mil
2018: 19 mil
2019: 19 mil
2020: 21 mil

You paying that much for a "solid #2" or to push your starter?

Problem is the contract. It's actually not a bad contract, but you're not going to trade for it if the guy is sitting on the bench.
Right. Anyone that trades for him, has to be SURE that he is the guy going forward. And considering the injuries and his play last season, I don't see how you can be SURE of that right now.
Plus he'll be 29 this season. That's not necessarily old for a QB, but it is past the point where you should still be trying to "develop" a QB.

Kaepernick has been coddled by the 49ers never forcing him to compete with anyone so he thinks he's entitled to start. He got benched for playing awful and thinks it's unforgivable or something.

:what: He went to two NFC championship games and was a play away from winning the SB (Crab was held). Why the hell would he need to compete for his job? How was he coddled?

People ignore the fact that the entire team feel apart around him and the coach got the boot for Tomsula who was in over his head. Who didn't see the 9ers being trash in that division?

Y'all just run with talking points and agendas. Facts be damned.

Bring him to the Jets. Y'all telling me Fitz is better:stopitslime:

Wonder if Luck feels nervous about his job security.

Bruh, did you see the team he played for last year? :wtf: HC, OC, DC all jobless right now. He played 8 games and was inconsistent. 4 good and 4 bad. Teams start making plans to remove inconsistent QB's with no running game, line coaching, etc? I would have at least given him a year with a competent team to give him a shot. We at least already know what he can do when he's on point.
