Sam Houston on the Eastside and Wagner on the Northeast

The other inner city schools are predominantly Mexican like Lanier and John Jay. They never really been that good at football. Surprisingly decent basketball history though

Me and my patnas might have been the only people in our section that were not alums. Never seen anything like it where hundreds from each graduation class going back to the 50's and 60's were there cheering on their school. The parking lot was full of charter buses - each class had two charter buses to bring people to the game. Part of what makes SOC special and such a tight-knit community is the fact that most people never leave the area.
