People are inherently self interested so of course they would like him better. The law of self preservation.

As an example:

It's the very reason he won in the first place. Middle America(the same middle America that voted for Obama twice) You had Hillary championing trade deals, TPP, Etc that killed jobs in Middle America and Trunp promising to kill trade deals, bring back coal, etc etc. Those people weighed his racist xenophobia against their own interests. It's funny to me when people affected negatively by his policies(like dreamers) don't understand why other would vote for him. If my job was sent to Mexico because of NAFTA you think I give a fukk about some wall or Muslim ban if that same person promises to bring my job back ? Probably not.
