Album has aged pretty well IMO.

Does it sound dated? Yeah. But almost everything that's old sounds dated. As it should. That's the whole point of dates. It's so rare that an album doesn't sound dated, or is "timeless." I can think of so few albums that haven't aged badly to some degree.
Does that make Dropout less of an amazing/classic album? IMO, no it doesn't. The 2 big things that date the album are the signature "clack" snare drum that Kanye probably overused from 2002-2005, and then the sped up vocal samples. At the same time, context is important. The majority of the album was done before those vocal samples got played to death, so it wasn't like he was riding the trend. If anything, he helped make the rend happen.
To me, the flaws are sort of what makes the album classic to begin with. You have a producer that wasn't the best in the world (although he was maybe the most in demand), and as a rapper he need polishing also. Yet, he made it work. he had help on the beats with Evidence from Dilated Peoples on Last Call, but that's it. Rhymefest helped on Jesus Walks, and maybe he had help here or there from GLC and Consequence, but I consider it a self-contained album.
You can hear the punch ins. You can hear the difference in the OG version of songs vs what the final version was (Jesus Walks, All Falls Down, 2 Words, Family Business, Never Let Me Down, Through The Wire) but it's like you were hearing the process of him making the album, which was really dope. There are too many skits, and that's the biggest problem with it in hindsight. Home and My Way should've been on there, and I think there are a couple spots where those could've been added instead, or some of the talking at the end of Last Call could've been shaved off.
But for a first album? From a "producer rapper"? Kanye knocked it out of the park.
