i listened to this album like twice back in the day and kept it moving.

only kanye album to actually crack my rotation was graduation.

Just Blaze uses the same drums on 80% of his songs to this day.

Kanye used the same 2 drums on like 80% of his work pre-LR.

CD is a classic but it hasn't aged too well - I can agree on that. The great songs are all classic however.

But on Be & LR he went full genius. Especially LR he ironed out his creases. His drum game stepped the fukk up - perhaps someone else started doing em. He started doing compositions on that joint. By Graduation he had his "band" setup perfect. A track like Good Life is a typical Ye chop then you get Toomp's sound on it.... you get Mike Dean to smooth it out. Then Timbo to stiffen the drums. That formula of getting the rest person to do the right thing on his songs has made Ye productions GOAT level.
