Real spittle. I am a dentist and I feel like I don't know shyt after 4 years of school in terms of how to actually make solid money out this fukking profession. Everything I am learning is basically on the job as far as shyt like dealing with insurance companies, payment settings, etc. And I know friends who feel the same way in other professions. Universities don't prepare you for any of that shyt as far as real life, practical shyt. They just take your money and don't give a fukk. I would have been better off going to a trade school. Make decent amount of money with half the debt

If I had any coli cash, I'd bet it all that you'll be a republican in 10 years, touting the benefit of advanced education as a means to uplift the black community.

Those weird majors are a scam, no doubt.

But a lot of real jobs that require degrees are pretty practical. I don't get it sometimes, it does seem like a racket. I know someone who needed a BBA degree and this job required one and he just had no idea what his job was after he got hired, it was easy.

I do agree from personal experience that a lot of coursework and (...most) professors don't really prepare their students.

But that's why you gotta take those internships when they pop up. Network. Read a book. And read some alternatives. These institutions and the government don't give a fukk about whether you actually learn anything once you "earn" that degree. It's all a business to them. You gotta take that initiative to make that degree mean something.:manny: Holding them accountable won't get you anywhere.

A DDS is nothing to play with. I have friends who are dentists and are parlaying their money and networks into bigger opportunities.

Don't be foolish.

Soooooooo just how would you be a dentist without school tho? :troll:
No, I think OP is getting at the fact that universities should adjust the curriculums to better prepare graduates. One or two classes on the business aspects of these professions.
