All the dentists I know are making EASILY 120K minimum depending on the market. Thats first year out.

Yeah, I could imagine it's hard but try and reach out to some dentists in the area for a little tutorial

I'm currently a Petroleum Engineering major and we get told all the time that most of the shyt we going to need to know for the job is going to be taught to us on the job 
And I would question what we need to fukk around here for 4+ years for but then there's all the hoes

For real tho. I can see where the OP is coming from. This I agree with, but having a mentor and great colleagues can fix that problem.

If you think of having a quality life as a the hottest club in town , college is the cover you pay to get in. Only other way you getting entry is if you know the bouncer or the owner that will let you in off rep (networking, family legacy, etc.) or if you infiltrate from the inside out by being the staff or employees (sticking with a low end position and working up the hierarchy to some prominent position). College is just a ticket to admission. For example you can't become a lawyer even if you pass the bar and study out ya ass on law books, you won't get the paper granting you access to this profession without a college degree..except for in like 4 states.
Youre in Chicago and talking about dentists don't get paid? 
You can go work at a correctional facility and make 100g's.

I see what your complaint was, and it's warranted. Most jobs you can do with a high school education. Gotta pay to play though.
