A question about that.
I hear a lot about Brazil having the largest black population in the Americas, but only 7% of the country identifies as black. That's only about 14 million people. The rest is either white or mix (pardo). Where does Brazil having the largest black population in the Americas come from?
As for colombia, it's the third largest after us and Brazil.

It's the fact there are millions more black people that aren't self identifying with being black, you got some obviously black people on that "I no black" shyt as well. They are becoming more aware of what they are, the black population increase is outpacing the actual black birth rate there, so more people are realizing what they are. Also, a lot of people who would be classified as "Pardo" in Brazil would be Black in the US.
