Subconsciously many people don't know how the media grabs their attention with images and color schemes to out their critical thinking process to sleep. Alot of times if the stories don't convince you, the overtones of color schemes and word "Key words and phrases" sets you back into line again. In other words it's a form of mind control. After 9/11 The Bush Administration used the media to push fear propaganda with boogeyman called AL-Qeada but over the last few years the Obama Administration has used media to push agendas to the masses who actually believe it happen without knowing it was placed in them subconsciously.

The last few events which were considered orchestrated hoaxes show the obvious color schemes that fit the agenda of the media, gov't and everyone in between that benefits. Many of these events have assigned specific colors. As Picasso use to say "Colors, like features follow the changes of the emotions"

Sandy Hook-The Color Green
Boston Bombing-Blue
Ottawa-Red
Sydney Shooting-Black and White
Ebola-Neon Green
Paris- Purple

"Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have." ~ Richard Salent, Former President CBS News.

So lets see some of those examples in the color in action.

great analysis here. have you ever heard of neurolinguistic programming? I believe this is an example of how this works. Like you indicated, the color schemes must indicate a mood and pattern that one recognizes on a subliminal level. This would cause a person, like a work of art, to pay closer attention to it. Not analytical attention, but suggestive, submissive attention. Hand signs work the same way, something that is caught peripherally by the mind speaks directly to the subconscious and the subconscious cannot distinguish between truth and lie. great post.
