the rb is the only player besides maybe kicker or some shyte that has value independent of the qb

& like i said in a previous post it feels like there is some disdain for natural uncoachable talent in there

the qb is the extension of the coach the coach the extension of the bank/suits so when your value doesn't revolve around the qb it's like fukk that

a star rb creates a independent spotlight separate from the qbs spotlight

JT messed up....all about timing.

You can't, as a RB, demand big money from a team that's rebuilding. They see you as an asset and will want draft capital in a trade. They figure you won't be around when the team gets good again so no sense in wasting money.

OTOH, they'd run JT into the ground while Anthony is developing at QB. He knows they want to keep him on a relatively team friendly deal and use him up while shyt is bad and then dump him as soon as he breaks down.

Both sides doing what they think is right.

That’s my point. The QB floor is artificial. Teams could easily just say they’re not going to pay guys that sort of money like they do to RBs. The franchise tag also muddies it up. The players should’ve never agreed to that shyt. Like if the Giants look at Daniel Jones and say we’re only paying you 25, who else put there would’ve paid him 40? Teams bid against themselves for QBs but don’t do it for RB.

A qb really just needs to protect the ball and make timely passes, the problem is the league is set up for qbs to be Superman which gives an out for bad organizations and who can’t build a team
While the actual Superman on the team aka the rb typically Carries a squad throughout the season, qbs depend on way too many elements to have the value they have

To keep it real most of the money should be going to linemen and rbs, but the environment is set up for qbs to throw 50 passes a game to justify big ass contracts compared to the rest of the team, qbs contracts don’t match the real production they bring to the team

Really the model should be that qbs get long baseball contracts at reasonable yearly rates, while rbs and linebackers get bigger shorter contracts, im not sure what pay models other positions should have
