It doesn't move the needle in NY, fukk are you talking about. It didn't even move the needle in Texas, Virginia, and multiple other states where dems retook control of school boards last month. But to focus on NY again...super liberal, socially. Even republicans out there don't care about that shyt.
It moved the needle when Dems are being forced to face their pandering. Dems have by and large stopped the pandering after not being able to defend their stances.
Trans "rights" is deeply unpopular over all of America as it should be because its an absolute insult to women.

Give me one example of a local deep blue politician being "forced to face" their pandering. Once again we are talking about a race where there is no viable republican candidate. Whoever wins the dem primary wins the seat. The topic doesn't fukking matter and I'm tired of people attempting to apply normal standards to a very partisan, atypical race.
