These companies just want more money. Level3 have confirmed to me that this is the case...this whole manufactured strain that cable companies keep claiming is a bunch of bullshyt.

How does a country like the United States trail so far behind? It's simple...they want MORE money.

I haven't gotten a letter yet, but other folks have out here.

they are introducing a 1TB data cap out here. I haven't gone over 500GB in the last few months, so we should be OK over here I hope. and that's with me working from home full time and having multiple game systems, smart tvs, tablets, phones, and roku boxes.

Comcast has actually upgraded the datacap in my area from 300 GB to 1 TB. They sent out an e-mail about "listening to customers" and changing it in their test markets. However, really its to compete with TWC who recently went under the merger and was restricted from imposing datacaps for 7 years lol.

1 TB is enough for me, even when downloading games consistently

They changed it to 1TB in ATL and just launched a 3 yr 60 dollar 100Mbps + HBO or Starz plan probably to lock people in since Google Fiber is launching end of yr/early next yr,

EXACTLY.

I don't believe for a second that everyone having unlimited data gets them anywhere near the threshold of what their network can handle.

I mean the same cable lines have no problem with all the bandwith used for their TV service.
