Last time I was out there I was paying Four Seasons prices for a room half the size of an average American motel.

I can't see a logical reason this is needed, let alone 5 years from now...were not in the days of 14.4 and lowly T1 lines...I cannot see a reason for this other than greed.

They really are trying to limit the information we can take in. My favorite book is 1984, and one of the key concepts that is often overlooked is Newspeak. At the risk of sounding like Tin-Foil hat man, it really seems like the elites are trying their hardest to erode freedom of thought in a multitude of ways.

Prism, Net Neutrality, now capping data usage...

So explain the politics behind this then. What's preventing a huge company from coming along to offer higher speeds. At a lower price. I know this is not the perfect analogy but sorta like what Netflix streaming did in the way we watch movies? They would be forced to lower pricers because of competition.

:what: you fukking serious. Politics is exactly what's stopping that from happening.

The Google Fiber effect? Kansas Legislature writes a bill to stop muni broadband News gigaom.com science

I can't find the exact article, but there's a strong coalition among at least 32 states, stopping this from happening....

Money, money, money. Bullshyt of the highest degree.
They will never need to upgrade anything cause the caps will stifle usage and increase dependability on TV for entertainment purposes. Wait until they start implementing data caps on businesses.

politcians are easily influenced :mindblown: The way they fight hard for shyt that is not beneficial to the people who vote for them is :russ:

:snoop: to think i used to hustle free internet off NetZero/AOL because i didn't want to pay 9.99 monthly fee and now I got no choice but to pay 90 dollars a month of internet+voice.

U used to get free basic Comcast cable when you ordered internet but they put a stop to it by going digital :beli:
