Comcast rolling out 2Gbps Internet next month in Atlanta

man, I have a 350GB data cap, but I have been exceeding that shyt for the past 18 months since I took this job working from home and they ain't said shyt yet....

only reason they are doing this is because of Google.

they know they can't stop the incoming Google onslaught.

So instead of continuing to try and hold on to being archaic and hard headed, they are doing this. They know that more and more people are turning to streaming so now with these increased speed setups, you're gonna see the price of internet essentially replace the price of cable. It's inevitable.

I wonder what the prices will be on this

If the people of Atlanta can get google fiber then get it and be happy. I live in NYC and I want google fiber here so damn bad im kinda tired of time warner.... and Verizon Fios only works in CERTAIN bullshyt areas... because the other cable companies STILL have a monopoly here and they dont want to share!!!

and they rolled out the gigabit service out here. but it cost $300/month right now.

This. Even their so called high speed is dog shyt. Outside of the occasional throttle, Comcast runs fine. I think I may drop cable from them tho. That shyt is outrageous just for a basic package

Verizon Fios just became available in my area so I signed up to them, no contract.

$70/month taxes and fees included for 100/100mbps. Comcast has one week left with me and then I'm cancelling their shytty service. I've had the most troublesome connection lately.
