It's hard to do this comparison because we never got to see Roy in his prime, look at the kind of numbers Harden & Westbrook are putting up at 27 and 28, and the last time we saw Roy at his best he was only 25.
The answer has to be Reggie simply for the fact that we never really got to see what Roy at his best could be. Injuries got the best of him when he was like 25
So throwing out the fact that one is a hall of famer and had a long career and one only played 5 seasons, I'll just say this. Reggie is an all-time great shooter and a great player to have on your team because he's the ultimate off ball player. He's clutch but so is Roy
Roy is better with the ball in his hands, but he's far less consistent as a shooter
The argument stemmed from one of us saying that Reggie was overrated and there are 10 SGs they'd take from 96 onward before Reggie.. Roy's name came up and now we're here...
