Reggie Miller is one of the most overrated players in NBA history
Reggie's gone to the finals and on 2 different occasions went to game 7 in the ECF against a young shaq and penny and one of the best bulls team ever. And he did it as the lone superstar, if my memory serves me right, he didn't have a 2nd allstar player those years.

The argument stemmed from one of us saying that Reggie was overrated and there are 10 SGs they'd take from 96 onward before Reggie.. Roy's name came up and now we're here...

Gotta love NBA arguments:wow:
List the 10 you came up with?

I can only come up with 8 that were better.

Jordan
Kobe
Wade
Harden
McGrady
Roy
Ray Allen
Manu

Too bad basketball is a team sport. :ehh:

We really going to act like Reggie was out there carrying team's on his back? Dude was averaging 18 points.

You're acting like Reggie Miller was a superstar carrying those teams. In reality, those Pacers teams were an ensemble of good players who complemented each other well (kind of like the 2004 Pistons). They didn't rely on Reggie to carry them (and he wasn't capable of carrying a team by himself game in and game out like true superstars).

Reggie made 5 all-star appearances in 18 seasons. He never made the All-NBA first or second team, ever.

No he wasn't carrying the team on his back, but he clearly was the leader of the team who constantly hit the big shots and could be counted on to be clutch.

Roy is just a star overrated as Reggie for y'all that say Reggie is overrated. You can't just ASSUME shyt about a player's future and take it as fact that they'd become something they were not before they got hurt. This site is in love with "potential" though.
