It shouldn't be surprising at all - Reggie at his best anchored some of the league's best offenses throughout the regular season and postseason (one of the better playoff performers of his era), while being ultra efficient with a high volume scoring load, all without being ball-dominant. Whereas Roy's "best" is what he basically did at age 24. Did he have a better overall skillset than Reggie? Sure. But in terms of impact over a generous period? Nah.
no he wasn't, especially if you take the playoffs into account
Reggie Miller vs. Brandon Roy Comparison
Reggie's name rings bells and he's a legend for a reason
if your squad was in a close game with the Pacers the fear of God was in you just by virtue of the fact that Reggie was on the floor
Reggie TERRORIZED opposing teams and fanbases![]()
This argument isn't taking longevity and injuries into consideration though; strictly each player at their best. 2008-09 Brandon Roy was better than any version of Reggie Miller.

this is kinda unfair.
the generation between LeBron fans and Curry fans would've actually had somebody to respect instead of having to dikkride Curry just because he's what's hot
