The thing people need to understand is that it's not just about playing a game. These athletes have millions of eyes on them and people's attention for 2 hours. If I'm a company trying to market and sell my product I will pay premium ad space for that access. So the demand is there. I do believe teachers are underpaid, but sports business and marketing is a completely different animal.
