Grew up broke. Both parents didn't have HS degrees:skip: Pops showed up to all my games and mom always tried to cook what she can. They did their best and that's all I could ask for:wow:

But yeah.. eatin ramen noodles and sleeping on couches aint wassup:dead:

I'm sure they did the best they could with what they had but dont you ask yourself "why would they have kids if they were broke? why not wait a few years, stack up bread and move out of the hood"

Did anyone else think all white people were rich when they were kids? All my white friends had two controllers, name brand cereal, and their own rooms and shyt. I'm in the same twin size bunk-beds with my brother from like age 5 - 12, listening to "Do The Bart Man" on cassette tape in a Teddy Ruxpin :snoop: I outta slap a spark out my parents tonight for having us living like that.

Never poor but sometimes broke. Its crazy because my parents were REAL GOOD at hiding it:

  • I thought we just really like bologna and ketchup sandwiches :yeshrug:
  • Vacation? That just means no school right? :dwillhuh:
  • Most kids dont rock the same holloween costume 2 years in a row? :wtb:
  • Why you buggin out so crazy because the dog ate half a loaf of bread :wtf:
  • Meijer brand frosted flakes is just as good as kellogs right? :usure:
  • Whats a "lunchable?":utepwtf:
  • Oreos? We got HYDROX :myman:
  • No Hydrox this month :ohhh:
  • No jordans huh.....but you can cop me them HAKEEMS? :ehh:

I aint know we was periodically broke as fukk :yeshrug:

pretty much grew up sleeping on the floor of the living room of a one bedroom apt.

my mom was an african immigrant. she went to school, got a degree, and we moved to the suburbs shortly after when I was like 13. I started working at 15 and moved out by 17, struggled again until I started making real money at 22. Started traveling the world by 23.

Lets just say life as been one big struggle and chances are I will retire in thailand or brazil by 50.

That's why I have no kids. I vowed to never have them live that way. I will only have kids with the right woman, and a legit nest for them.

My family bad periods of brokeness & homelessness until I was 10yo and Dad got a prof'l license.

SunZoo, sometimes I pretend to be a robot when I need to perform while ignoring my feelings. Coping mechanism. You might chat with a therapist abt your emotions towards your parents. It helps a bit! :-/

After my mama stopped selling shyt went all down hill.

- Getting new school clothes from the thrift shop.

- havinh 3 pair of pant, 5 shirts and 1 pair of shoes in rotation for a whole school year.

- spent a summer with no electricity

- Shared a bed with my siblings

- being the kids who receive what other people donate to charities.

I'm leaving out a lot of shyt, times was tough before things got crazy and my brother decided to change things and i followed behind him.

Thru out it all i thank God for family.
