You guys are going about this all wrong. In a straight up legit fight Punk wouldn't stand a chance against Brock cause he'd have him hemmed up with the quickness. However, this is a wrestling match Punk is gonna hit him with leg kicks and that would look legit because in MMA they are very effective in negating ones quickness, and speed which Brock has in spades.

This is fine and good. Have Brock kill Punk in the beginning, get worn down by Punk's strategy, evasiveness, and tenacity, then have Brock beat Punk in the end while having Punk look valiant.

Brock can look like a monster, Punk can look like a valiant hero going down in a blaze of glory. Makes both guys look great, would probably make for a great match.

Highly disagree.

I think what helps sell the promo is the juxtaposition between his large figure and his soft spoken voice. It helps create an image that Brock has brains that match the brawn, birthing the perfect monster. It almost reminds me of Bane: an intellectual monster. It's perfect.

WWE needs to have every single wrestler on their roster do promos like this every feud and every ppv. Pure piff. Feels real and raw and professional and gives a lot of tension. Much better than these soap opera "let's talk in the back how did this camera man get here" bull crap. They should keep it to straight interviews from an interviewer, and promos like this to help sell tickets. Keep it simple.

Him yelling ranting and raving like he did after he beat Frank Mir wouldn't work in a WWE setting, that monotone almost bored tone works because a cat that talks like that generally has done all the horrible things he's telling you about in his promo so he isn't yelling because he doesn't need to do so to further his point. They've got my interest going for this feud Punk would gain so much from losing than winning IMO.


on a non kayfabe setting I don't think Punk himself would lie and tell you he wouldn't get mauled if Brock had an issue with him
