You can go either way with Kobe or Lebron.

Prime Kobe was the better scorer with more skills, but Lebron is the better all around player.

Apples and oranges.

Nikka, they almost lost the game, with 3 of the top 15 players in the L, and 2 of the top 10, maybe even the top 5. Gasol is a DECENT PLAYER. Gasol was never the player Bosh was, and Bosh is the worst of the Big 3. Bosh is averaging the same as Gasol on the Heat AS THE 3RD OPTION. Kobe got a decent sidekick and it was an automatic 'ship. Kobe with Shaq was 3 straight titles, and the Lakers were DOMINANT. In '01 Lakers were 15-1, and ran though Portland, Sacramento, and San Antonio. :wow: When have we ever seen this kind of dominance from this Heat team? :birdman:

Kobe playing with Wade and Bosh, they'd win every game by 20 points and be challenging the Bulls for the best record ever.

Kobe was 6-24. Gasol beasted, Artest chipped in. Lakers won... sounds like they had a pretty good team. Lakers don't win if the other guys don't pick up the slack in game 7.

Kobe with Wade and Bosh wouldn't make the Finals. You think Wade and Kobe could share the ball?:snoop:

You think Bosh could provide the physical toughness/rebounding and shot blocking they would need?:russ:

In their last back2back Lakers won in part because they had 3 guys 7ft are taller who can beast in the paint nobody else could matchup with that.

Kobe w/Shaq years. Shaq most dominant big man of this era. Noticing a pattern here? Bosh is a good player, but he's not a dominant big man. Laker teams in this era have always had dominant inside games. That's not a knock on Kobe, its just smart basketball. Its damn near impossible to scheme for that kind of length. When you have that your superstar and best player can wet the bed in a game 7 at home and you still have a chance to walk away the chip.

This shyt is gettin disrespectful. I'm looking forward to Kobe's retirement, y'all don't deserve his greatness. This must be how MJ fans felt when Kobe came into the league. Disgust.

Not really.

Kobe wasn't that big of a deal back in '98(not as big a deal as the media made him out to be).

Yeah, MJ fans weren't thinking about Kobe in 98 when he was putting up 15 a game on 42%

Definitely weren't thinking about him when he came into the league.

Gasol beasted? Whats with all this revisionist history on here?

Gasol shot 37% from the field in game 7 and was 7 of 13 from the FT line.

That's beasting? :what:

He was a 19 year old bench player playing behind 2 other all-stars.

Kobe before the all-star break was averaging 17 points a game on 47% shooting and was the run away 6th man of the year. Then he hit a wall. He still came in 2nd in the 6th man of the year voting.

Lets not act like Kobe was some scrub.
