I actually think being able to do crowd work is a sign of a natural comedian. Obviously some do it better than others though.
But essentially having the ability to go up on stage with no material and somehow pull a 15 minute set from nothing is talent imo.
That said, i really only like seeing that from Hosts of a comedic event in between actual sets. I'm not trying to pay money to see zero material. That should just be used as a way for a host to burn time until the next dude comes to the stage,
