it's actually pretty corny when comedians do stuff like this because as comedians they will always have some non pc stuff spoken on stage that can potentially come back and bite them. Some forgotten joke about trannies, or jews etc. Just the nature of the business because sensibilities can change but jokes and actions that happened long ago can't be changed. So trying to go back and cancel someone over something that was apparently out in the open and acceptable years ago using 2019 logic is the most hypocritical thing they specifically of all people can do. I don't feel sympathy for the people who do get cancelled over shyt like that though, they brought it on themselves. shouldn't have been creeps, but i'm not gonna respect a comedian who tries to get famous using this method.

I agree with the bolded but people love to play time cop all the time.

Kevin Hart lost his Oscars hosting gig because he said "he'd smash a doll house over his son's head if he was gay" in a joke that no one was pissed off at the time. Eddie Murphy has gotten heat for his anti gay jokes from his comedy specials from the 80's probably the harshest era there was for homosexuals, so he came out and apologized just so he wouldn't have to deal with this shyt before his new stand up.

I find it dishonest how people choose to go after people for things they know were acceptable at the time and I think it does a disservice to not take time and discuss why it was popular instead of just pinning it on a singular person and getting them in trouble. That's why these types tend to get exposed as hypocrites for indulging in similar behavior as what they're criticizing and why some marginalized people will forever be paranoid and defensive.

Recently a lesbian comic tried to air out a comedy club for letting Louis CK perform only to be outed as a predator and a molester of women. With this I feel like Seinfield should get some heat because I don't think Chris Rock would get a pass for it.

It was NBC and he wasn't solely trying to buy the network he was part of an investment group

And that wasn't what ignited the agenda...

It was the acres of land he owned in Pennsylvania that he protested against a a pipeline being built by a company with right wing backers one of them being Trump

You remember brotha

This was known that he dated much younger women, but he has been so clean everywhere else, never any allegations of sexual misconduct, it never had the scandal of other celebs. I personally don't know how to feel about it, as a big Seinfeld fan, and also passionate about issues like sexual harassment, gender inequalities, sexual abuse, women's right, what do you say?

Even the show, when you watch repeats, there is no sexist humor, or misogynist jokes to be found.
