Bunch of :flabbynsick:responses in here.
Gaming has been as fun as its ever been for me. The only thing I miss is more local multiplayer games. I have 4 PS4 controllers and 4 xb1 controllers and rarely ever use more than 1 at a time. This heavy online gaming push is cool, I just wish they didn't leave local gaming so far behind.

That said 2017 looks to be another good year. Nier looks incredible. I want to try out ace combat in vr.
Horizon Zero Dawn looks like it's gonna be one of the highlight titles of the year if they get it right.
Resident evil 7 is going to determine the future of PSVR imo.

I've realized alot of what has changed for gaming changed with me.

I dont have the time nor attention span that I use to have. I used to be able to sit down for hours and enjoy one game now if I'm lucky I'll spend a solid hour focused on one game.

I've always enjoy competitive gaming. I was an arcade rat. And all i did was play fighters and rpg's coming up. and none of those genres are like they use to be. Like you said local gaming was so fun, to be there with actual friends or family and just clown or play competitively and have to deal with that person's emotions was goat. Now you can't even get two player local on a beat em up.

Gaming isn't as memorable to me over all anymore. But for alot of younger people coming up I'm sure its amazing.

I also miss getting complete games No dlc and add on's. I can't remember the last non nintendo game I played were I felt like "yep this is the full product"

As far as dlc just don't buy it.
I don't and I've never felt like I've missed out on anything.

I rarely do, unless its a fighting game.

When I say I feel like I'm missing out. It really feels like games are made 1st with DLC and add on and possible sequels in mind 1st instead of just be a good game.

Hellblade looks cool.

So does Drawn to Death, but I'm reading it's a multiplayer-based game, so I'll pass on that.

I think if games are getting boring then you should start trying different genres and giving indies a chance.

I think I've accepted that modern AAA gaming for the most part just isn't for me

I completely understand if that's all you play then you being bored with games because I'm bored with AAA gaming for the most part.

They're very samey, there's not much creativity happening and they all are just bleeding into each other.

And then you get people like 'make Uncharted and last of us open world!!!":gag:

Some people won't be satisfied until every fukking AAA game is exactly the same.:hhh: like there isn't enough fukking open world games you have to ruin some of the last great linear games on the market

Indies is where it's at :feedme:

Games like Alienation and overcooked are some of the most fun I've had in years
