I'll start. :yeshrug:Never got they hype around A Tribe Called Quest, Maybe i just missed out on them, but they was just OK to me. Hell Outkast mopped the floor with them if that's a close comparison.

Saigon should have had next after 50 cent dude dropped the ball something awful.

Styles P is the best member of the Lox, I don't care how great Jadakiss voice is.

Scarface was a better Tupac than Tupac.

In the Silver Lining
No Limit Camp never appealed to my ears. Outside a few songs....dumpster.
  • Cash/Money was sonically a better sound in terms of the 90s New Orleans/Louisiana sound
Nas is dope. Top 5 MC, but I think he's scared to get in the ring with some high powered lyricists...also who happen to be in my Rotating Top 10. ...I'm joking, but kinda serious...
  • Eminem?
  • Black Thought... I sense the fear
  • Mos Def....really now?
  • Ras Kass...they had subtle beef but that should be over?
  • Andre 3K.....yeah...

Nas is smart to people who take things at face value

Southern Hip-Hop >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>West Coast>>>Midwest>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

A lot of Tupac stans are basically more embarrassing than Beyonce stans, and the dudes who stan him so hard got a mancrush

most jay-z hate is just sour grapes cause he showed people a possible blueprint to expand your wealth and influence that people not even in entertainment can learn from

The Blog Era of Hip-Hop was essential in the survival of the genre

Rap didn't get good until '95, shout out to Mobb Deep

A lot of J. Cole hate is just bandwagon shyt that don't add up, and I say this as someone who doesn't check for him.

Rap in all eras takes itself too seriously.

Will Smith made better pop-rap records than Jay-Z

The fear of white people taking over hip-hop has always been overblown.

He rapped with Trotter on the Fight the Power remix recently and Ras on the Wake Up Show 94 Freestyle

He's overrated. but he's def not bad. I came here from Okayplayer they love that nikka like he Jesus. But he is dope.

My intro to Dilla was the Pharcydes 2nd album which I didn't even know he produced until after he died (I didn't read credits when I bought the album) but the first time I remember I actually listening to Dilla I blamed him for fukking up Tribe's sound
