People only sat down to listen to Guru because of Premo. His bars were laughably mediocre :unimpressed:

Same for CL Smooth. :unimpressed:

Pusha T was right to go solo. Malice brought him down.

Outside of Renee, Lost Boyz were genuinely terrible.

Yawl brought this on yourself with the Pac slander.

Biggie had a dope flow and cadence and nothing else, his lyrics were cat in the hat elementary type shyt and he’s severely overrated. Greatest rapper of all time died on March 9th? No, an obese, cross eyed, domestic abuser with faq rhyme tendencies learned a hard lesson about arrogance and karma on March 9th. And if you dug that hefty bytch up his skeleton would be diabetic still. “Hip Hop started in the WEST, fat fukk slippin in LA without a vest”:pacspit:

When you say jeezy is Mack 10 you mean ????

I mean those two literally had the same career trajectory.

- both got put on by icons
- both were known for being "The Dope Dealer" and their street affiliations
- both were not known for their bars as much as how they said them
- both benefitted from striking when their particular locale/city started to blow up

In a parallel universe where nobody in Wu-Tang ever met/knew each other, the only ones who might've made it solo
are Deck, Meth, Cappa and maybe All In Together Now as a group.

Ghost is my favorite in the Clan, but iono if he woulda made it mainstream without RZA beats and outshining everbody else on tracks.

Dr. Dre ain't even in my top 10 favorite producers.

Migos are corny.

Black Thought can rap his ass off!! And I have mad respect for Quest. But outside a few track The Roots music is boring.

Future is the epitome of mediocore. I really tried to get into his music but I cant, lol. From his style, his beat selection. shyt is just meh imo.

Outside of Beans and Free. State Property was weak.

Drake's the most overrated "top" rappers ever!!

No way in hell you heard Dirty Sprite 2 saying Future is mediocre :unimpressed:

I dunno man. I just don’t believe Warren G when he claimed to have said “I’m stuck” when at gun point.

I’ll take it a step further. Warren showed his true colors of being a bytch.... whining the whole time until Nate showed up... talking bout flying away and shyt

I never seriously listened to ATCQ but I'm going to now. Their beats are super chill. In fact, can you recommend some other rap songs with slow tempo/relaxed/study/sleep type beats?(other than lofi)

Also breh, allow me to introduce you to Hundat Beats

I was able to get so much shyt done in my college days listening to dude’s beats :wow: May they help you out with studying, errands, settling the mood, and the works breh :salute:

3.) Lil B > Kendrick Lamar. Lil B was way more influential than K Dot. Based God gave birth to a new generation of rappers. Lil B never gets credit for how prolific he was, nor does he get credit for his versatility in creating great serious songs as well. K Dot was propped up by the mainstream music machine whereas Lil B was an underdog and a genius in self promotion and an expert troll without going to 69 levels.
I'm a fan of both artists but I can't agree with this. As much as I fukk wit Lil B, he's not the artist Kendrick is. Kendrick is not only making classic albums, but he's been one of the driving forces of real artistry in mainstream hip hop

Lil B is a legend of his generation and fathered alot of these new nikkas. Even influenced some of the rappers that came in the game around the time he did. In time, more people will recognize this. But Kendrick is a legend in his own right as well just off the strength of GKMC and TPAB. This nikka literally made a movie in one album and a English professor picked novel in another one. And he did both without being corny or selling out. Two albums that not only push artistry forward but also lyricism, storytelling, and musicianship

They're both special in their own right. I'd be the first to tell nikkas that God's Father is a classic mixtape. I just can't bring myself to say B is better than Kendrick

Also on the influence tip, Kendrick hasn't influenced as many artists as B but he's still influenced some. J.I.D, Cordae, IDK, Saba, and D Smoke just to name a few
