Common Admits Drake Beef Was Over Serena Williams

At anyone trying to spin this in to a win for Common. Starting a beef over a woman, ESPECIALLY one who is consensually messing with the other dude, is a loss. Not to mention the fact that Drake is a lot younger than Common is, has been in the game for a lot less years, and still didn't think his opposition was worth more than some throwaway lines. And that "Stay Scheming" remix is embarassing, I literally turned it off after that wack ass Canada Dry line

Oldheads in denial in this thread. Drake delivered the hottest verse of the year, one of hottest songs of the year, by far the most quotable line of the year and ended Com's career with Stay Schemin'.

Common hasn't been relevant anymore since that verse. That was around the time when everyone started to take Drake seriously.

Common was relevant for over 15 years in the rap game...believe it or not, but Drake is going to age as well. We'll see if hes relevant for as long as Com was.

Neither the Pac/BIG beefs not Hov/Nas orginated over a woman, breh. Just cuz they used their women as arsenals in the battle isn't equal to Common admitting that an entire beef originated over a female

The Jay-Z/Nas beef started over the World Is Yours/Dead Presidents sample and continued during BIG'S reign/death (espacially After) as both of them were trying to prove themselves as the KONY. Carmen didn't become a factor until later, so no, it DID NOT originate over a woman

You're splitting hairs here with the involvement of women....and Im pretty sure that Common didnt care for Drake at all at the time, as did a lot of rappers for obvious reasons, and the Serena sht was the obvious spark to that fire. It wasnt a real serious battle anyway.
