That's actually my first time hearing that Cole version, but as far as the question, you can ask that about a lot of older beats in general. Plus, do you realize the era we're in? No one is really freestyling over anything :mjlol:

which is why I put 'new' in quotation marks. Someone of the newer school. From Cole's days. I thought that was obvious. :stopitslime:

I remember listening to the unfinished Finding Forever leak well before the album out. It wasn't good lol. Then when I listened to the actual album I couldn't shake the memory of the unfinished leak and it kinda ruined the entire thing for me.

Black America Again was the BEST album of 2016. Common proved he still had it in SPADES with that joint.

Common has proved he doesn’t have to be tethered to Kanye to make a dope album. UMC was utter trash and Nobody Smiling was a disappointment. But The Dreamer, The Believer was dope and Black America Again was superb

I'm not even sure what the point is. After looking at the track-list, it's not only the worst beat on Be, but it's the worst song in general, which was my whole point. I don't care if Cole free-styled over it :yeshrug:

It's cause Common has a voice that's actually commanding. The current gen are fans of dudes that sound more feminine than Trina and Amil :manny: Current rap fans like their rappers to sound either like squealing pre-pubescent dweebs (Uzi, Young Thug), or flat out retards (Lil' Yachty, Lil Wop, 6six9nine)
