Common The Food Live >>>>> Studio Version

You basically got two full great albums from them.
Ole greedy ass nikkas

This is flat out wrong breh, NoID produced the bulk of Big Seans first 2 albums, Vince Staples Debut and Jhene Aiko's debut. He also did a bunch of work on Blueprint 3, Life Is Good, and Cudis debut alongside two full Common albums and a bunch of his Cocaine 80s projects all within the last 10 years.
Cohesive means a lot to somebody like me who likes to listen to album all the way thru. Be is one of the easiest listens ever. Its short and to the point and there's no track that need to be skipped. I agree LWFC had higher highs but it isn't as consistentThe 6th Sense, Thelonious and Nag Champa are better than ANY track on Be. Several times over, too
I agree that LWFC was all over the place while Be was more 'cohesive' but cohesive doesn't mean shyt. Ultimately we care about standout records, and LWFC's standouts are vastly superior to Be's.
Common’s flow and delivery were the sharpest for the Resurrection album.I tried after liking Be and FF, they were all awful
Boring production and Common’s choppy flow and weak delivery doesn’t mix
I got my SAG card baby I’m an actorI agree. Actually Common might be even more to blame. He should've learned a lesson from Electric Circus. Some artists just don't have it what it takes to step outside their comfort zone. Im pretty sure Kanye would've produced a third album in a row for Common if he wanted him to. FF was the album where Common started to go Hollywood

Kanye took Commons flowless ass as far as he was going to go. Was a great day in hiphop when Drake bodied him![]()

I love GoYou came into this thread caping for Common’s worst beat and song off Be, and tried using JCole as some measuring stick. You’re the last person who should be talking about initiating inane convos as that’s the basis of all your threads.

LWFC was way too inconsistent. Com lost me with that album. Thought we were getting a classic when 6th Sense and Dooinit droppedCohesive means a lot to somebody like me who likes to listen to album all the way thru. Be is one of the easiest listens ever. Its short and to the point and there's no track that need to be skipped. I agree LWFC had higher highs but it isn't as consistent

What do you mean by this? Because no Id produced almost all of Vince staples album. No disrespect man, and I'm sure you meant no harm, but in reality...the shyt you saying is part of the reason why nikkas like Kanye end up spazzing out. This nikka Kanye probably hears shyt like this on a regular basis and personally if I were him it would make me wanna rip my hair out and start foaming at the mouth on some "WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME!!" type shyt.
Do you realize that prior to even establishing himself as a respectable rapper, Kanye had already revived Twista's career? Then Common? Gave both these dudes from the Chi', two of his idols mainstream pub and their first platinum plaques 10+ years after their debut records?? Not to mention putting his mentor NoID, the dude that produced all of Common's early work on so much so that he never had to produce another album again in his life?? In fact with 4:44 this year there was a 20 year gap for the last time NoID has produced an album...and he's been eating good as an exec so he didn't have to do that!
Kanye has done so much for the Chi, for rappers/producers in general man. Yeah he could have been whatever you think him and Common could have been, but to me he's been so much more and we gotta stop focusing on what our artists "didn't" or "don't" do, that shyt is cancerous to the creative process and the average fan doesn't realize how depressing that can be to a creative. This that shyt that causes Yeezus, lol.
Again no disrespect dude, I typically love your posting, but somebody gotta tell you..that shyt ain't cool man.
I love One Day It’ll All Make Sense as well. I liked Ressurection but that third album is what made me a fanLWFC was way too inconsistent. Com lost me with that album. Thought we were getting a classic when 6th Sense and Dooinit dropped
Nobody ever talks about One Day It’ll All Make Sense
I love that album.
And Common never really connected with an across the Board classic, but if you had to boil hip hop down to ten songs, there’s a strong argument for I Used To love Her
I don’t want to ruin it for anybody, but he was talking about hip hop on that track

Shook Ones Pt 2 :psalute:I love One Day It’ll All Make Sense as well. I liked Ressurection but that third album is what made me a fan
I Used To Love H.E.R. should be mandatory listening like T.R.O.Y. , Paid In Full, or It Was A Good Day
