Man I've been so busy with this web series I haven't had time to do any writing. Ima try to knock out a review hopefully by next week, but I'm going to hella busy all up until we start shooting in December

As far as Finding Forever, that's my PERSONAL favorite Common album and I'd say that thematically and conceptually, Black America Again is better. It's just so hard for me to put it above FF when FF had Black Maybe, Misunderstood, Forever Found, and The Game:whew:

But THIS album right here has been the soundtrack to my life all month. It's inspired me so much and given me a real creative jolt. In a lot of ways the web series is focusing on so much of what Common spoke on. I've listened to the title track about 67 times since it dropped. I constantly rewind Stevie singing "We Are Rewriting The Black American Story" because it encapsulates so much of what I am attempting to accomplish. If I ever meet Common I'm not shaking his hand, I'm bowing in his presence.

Best of luck with your series breh
:win:

Can't forget The People on Finding Forever...maybe my fav track.

Yeah Common released a masterpiece. I still cannot believe we received an album of this calibre in 2016, from an MC 25 years in the game no less.

Top 5 OAT he is.

:wtf: going back through the thread I'm noticing One Day It'll All Make Sense is getting no mentions as one of the top Common albums, severely underrated. Top 3 imo.

4th for me after the 'universal 3' then I think I'd put BAA (this album) in 5th and FF in 6th

Those 6 are genuinely great albums. CIBAD and TD/TB are very solid, as is Electric Circus to those who can stomach an experimental sound. Nobody's Smiling and UMC are the two bad albums.

Not a bad track record at all.

But I'm a orator, the corduroy boy came
The door-to-door name down the corridor of fame"

Album kinda nosedives around track 8-9. John legend is the worst, schmaltzy, black Billy Joel chipmunk lookin' bozo all time.

Happy Karriem got a shot to do an entire album for a relevant artist.

3.5 mic effort IMO.
