I liked this album when it first dropped but as I've gotten older I appreciate it a lot more. Common was spitting and sonically Soulaquarians were on another level.

Loved it back then and I love it now. shyt was funky and the sound quality is pristine. And common murked the whole shyt. Great album to chill and smoke to. Matter of fact I'ma bump this shyt over the next few days. It's been a minute.

It is likely that Prince only plays on the 0:34 instrumental coda following the song itself, although this is not confirmed.

That might be Prince playing the coda on the outro of the song, damn sure sounds like a Prince beat

Yeah. I truly believe if a current artist released this exact album today it would be considered a classic. We weren’t ready back then… that’s why you should release timeless music. Like I def liked a couple songs on it back then, but I think I was just mad because it wasn’t like water for chocolate or something lol.. plus people were clowning him when he was with Erykah. They brought it on this album though.
