I feel you. I got vaccinated ASAP, but I’m also curious how long it’s good for, and how often they’ll want us to get booster shots. And I’m pro vax.
But I definitely understand that we’re all engaging in a giant science experiment, and I understand anyone having feelings of hesitation around it.
I respect everyone’s decision, and I do kind of feel bad for people that are going to be constrained in society going forward, just because they choose to not be vaccinated. I don’t like the idea of the government using this as a way to limit people’s freedoms, and I very much see that happening.

They mentioned it a couple of times, early on...with the water, and citrus fruit. Then they abandoned it completely for wash your hands, wear a mask and 6-feet.
Even now, people are skeptical (not just the anti-vaxxers) because they never explicitly state how vaccines work to provide more with an understanding of the benefits. People don't know that some of the predictions they gave with vaccine effectiveness was based on a majority of people being vaccinated. They just go with "protect yourself and others by taking the vaccine." Then they'll say something about going back to normal, all while giving more contrary points, and it's regurgitated by the rest.
They've also stated, and since abandoned, natural infection with is another form of vaccination that would help reach herd immunity. COVID wasn't all or none. There's still a large percentage of people that contracted it that were completely asymptomatic, and never knew they had it. That was the whole bases for the masks (asymptomatic & pre-symptomatic).
Whether or not you get vaccinated, you will still test positive for COVID if you contracted it. You just significantly decrease your chances of getting dangerously ill. The current research is seeing how long it provides protection...which they predicted at multiple points that it may possibly be a recurring virus...and how transmissible a vaccinated person is...and herein lies the main problem. I say it's up to everyone to research the virus and vaccine as it progresses, as research is made public, and make a decision for themselves. Most people do not understand how vaccines work. All they know is that they were told to get one to protect themselves from contracting whatever...Once you start twisting the words, and saying exactly what you think people want to hear, it causes confusion.They haven't even advertised how anyone currently positive for COVID (with symptoms and asymptomatic), have to wait to get the vaccine.
I won't call anyone dumb because they refuse to get a vaccine, especially given the history of medical treatment for the black community...but I will say they are ignorant if they choose to get/not get without fully informing themselves and just going by what they hear.

It’s gone through the process. They were able to do multiple steps at once instead of in sequence because of the once in a century emergency the entire world was in.

Honestly if y'all want to be beta testers for this vaccine go right ahead. I vowed to myself that i'm going to wait atleast a year before I have anything injected in me. Alot of my family members have caught this disease some have been perfectly fine after some have said that their sense of smell hasn't returned and this is 6 months after having it. And I had one uncle die at 75 but he was a diabetic had heart surgery few months prior to catching covid. Don't know how true this is but i'm hearing that their is some fertility issues when taking some of these vaccine's.

Just wanted to chime in. I started taking the flu vaccine in 2009 after getting the H1N1 flu. I think a lot of people think they had the flu when they just had a bad cold.
H1N1 wrecked me. I didn’t “want to die”, but there was one day where the idea of not existing sounded preferable to the pain I was in.
It felt like my bones were made of glass and people were stepping on them and crushing them, and the shards were going into my muscles. Worst pain of my life.
A full blown flu is a terrible experience. So when people wrote covid off as being “just the flu”, my reaction was
“Just the flu” can be truly horrible
fukk no.
I get sick, I double down on the preventative measures for strong immunity that I already do on the reg.

Nope. Never even considered it either. Better up loading up on vitamins and nutrition which will also keep your immune system at it's peak.
