I think Electric Circus is a great album though.

1 Like Water 4 Chocolate
2 Be
3 Resurrection
4 One Day It'll All Make Sense
5 Finding Forever

to me those albums all have classic material on it

Is it me or does Common pick the most corny singers for his hooks on his last 2 albums?
I think No I.D. was influenced by Kanye West's new stuff on this album.
I think No I.D. co produced some of the stuff on Yeezus if I remember correctly...

No wonder I hate this Common album as much as I do. Only thing I hate more is Yeezus.

I'm one of the few that hated Electric Circus when it came out but now like it more so as album grew on me.

Same thing with Universal Mind Control but Electric was the better album of the two.

Comnon lyrically kills all his albums even his weak albums which are still better than the majority of today's so called hip hop records.

Nobody smiling us another solid effort which I was slightly disappointed in the overall production choices and guest appearances of some of the artists are questionable. But the standout tracks are killer joints making the price of admission worth it.

Common truly has one of the best catalogs in hip hop. Even his weak albums are solid purchases.

I have just about every common album purchased except his very first two only because I've heard those albums mad times.

Common is that dude. Much respect.

I haven't listened to Electric Circus since the year it dropped. That would be an interesting album to revisit.

It's not a bad album at all. Just forgettable. I think it's the bombastic-type production that misses the mark. There's elements of Yeezus and WTT on here that don't work for Common. Lyrically he brought it. It was solid but in his catalog it's quite forgettable

Translation: if you grade this on an adjusted curve to compensate for the fact that Shammago is possibly the most polite, kindest hip hop head of all time - album is a 2 mic travesty.

Uptown, Downtown, Switzerland
another forgettable album in the latter stages of Commons career.

i really like the production on here but Common struggling all over this..
he can't get the balance right..one minute he rapping alright but his flow is meh, then he gets his flow right and the lyrics are corny.

Jhene Aiko's flow is smoother than Commons on this in her little 20 seconds.
King Louie, Bibby and Herb should have been on Nobody Smiling.

Rewind That's beat :banderas:

that Dilla bit sounds like something from a terrible daytime TV movie.
sounded about sincere as Ludacris Runaway Love...i'm not a Dilla stan like most but he deserves a little better.

these beats really should have been gave to a younger, hungrier rapper.
