Common or GZA who is the better MC?

Me and my bro had a huge argument Sunday when we was watching the games..I said Gza he stedfast on Common just needed you guys opionion

A number of reasons, I have a lot of respect for GZA too though, he's dope, but I feel like Common is the more versatile MC, in terms of actually rapping, they both have dope wordplay, was a huge fan of Common's in particular though, he would go in, particularly the first 2 albums, I think he's a better songmaker, diversity, I think he has more flavour too, particularly in his early days, I think Common got the better discography also.

I agree. Bar for bar theres very few at GZAs level but he doesn't have the range Common does.

versatility. GZA perfected his style a long time ago, but in that perfection there's not a lot of wiggle room for the more.... personal or more upbeat songs.

I can respect that one of the reasons it was so hard too choose...Common got a broader range in production not necissarily content or lyric wise but GZA got joints this dude can't come up with or anybody else for that matter..Case in point....

nikka made a whole joint using animals and shyt that's fukking crazy.....underated album Legend of Liquid Swords shyt a classic on the low.
