The "people" don't want an alternative. In 2014 Most people who watch WWE, id say 95% are WWE fans not wrestling fans. It's a difference... They're not gonna watch any other pro wrestling promotion.

Ya know... That's a good point. But I'm not sure it is purely true. The people on my fb all want an alternative and we are all WWE watchers.
This, all TNA fans watch WWE, only a minority of WWE fans watch anything else

The majority will not watch anything but the WWE, people may say they want an alternative but they won't seek it out. Others will complain about the WWE but at the same time put down other companies because they're not as big as the WWE. A lot of fans are simply not going to support any other company like they do the WWE. Has too much history and too much of a following.

Problem with TNA is that instead being their own thing they try to copy WWE at every step, and do it worse. So they're a low budget bootleg :fif: WWE

There's no REASON to follow TNA if you're a casual. TNA just isn't a good alternative as it is redundant given how they rip off WWE and WCW.
Piggyback: to be a competitor you need to be unique. TNA created something innovative yet they didn't value it.
Since ruining the X-Division they've become the wrestling equivalent of a grocery store knockoff.
In truth, some people still drink RC Cola, and some folks are nostalgic for crap like Jolt Cola. There will always be an audience for crap, but products like TNA will never be relevant to the marketplace.

Labeling TNA RC Cola was a pretty apt comparison. It is in no way a serious competitor to Coca Cola. Coke's biggest rival is Pepsi which doesn't try to be like Coke despite the similarities.

This plus there's no bonified larger than life superstars for people to gravitate towards. Like Andre The Giant,Hulk Hogan,Rock,Austin, Flair.
