the point I was trying to make flew over your little head. Other than Dream Hack (which is basically a huge festival that involves more than gaming) the majority of those other leagues run one game specifically thus making the prize pools bigger. Btw. the Dream Hack tourney had a prize pool of over $1 million which is basically the same as what MLG puts into each tourney and national championship....but keep trying to discredit the biggest gaming league in the world.

Also, since you love running back to Dream Hack...did you forget this happened?

but...but...MLG isn't big...yet somehow they were able to align themselves with two of the biggest names in E-Sports.

bruh ive stated multiple times in this thread that Dream Hack is no where near the largest league/tournament the fact its even comparable (its not, its way bigger.. like 5x bigger) than MLG proves my point. You are the only person in this entire world who would recognize MLG as the biggest league in the world

Theres a reason top Starcraft players will only play in MLG if they are already here for another tournament, but they'll fly around the world to other tournaments.

MLG is redbull tournament status at this point

quake has no spread for basically all the weapons therefore no skill ceiling aka as good as you can aim, that's how good you'll be. no random spread get lucky headshot kinda stuff

reaction times you have to be equally fast if not faster in quake

tracking aim, this is something in quake (lightning gun) that you don't have to do in cs, and imo it's a big skill set

prediction aiming (rockets)

i played at the highest levels of RTCW/ET and i played with a few guys who would go on to be cal-i/cevo-p in CS:S and CS:GO. they picked the game up rather fast. i only know 1 dude who could even get close to competing at the highest levels of quake because it is THAT hard to get GOOD.


also, movement in quake is a gigantic skill. you don't have to worry about movement at all in the cs series.

cypher just won dreamhack this past weekend and his aim/movement/smarts are incredible

Y'all focused on games that were popular. I still think uc2 mp was better than most of those games y'all naming pertaining to initial balance(the game unfortunately has been dumbed down now.)

It's not...just deal with it. I understand you want to put sony and playstation on a pedestal but reality is UC2's multi was mediocre. I had fun the few times I played it but fun =/= great or competitive multi. If it was great we would hear about it every day, it would be picked up for tournaments etc....none of that happened...move on son.

Nah. I genuinely like the game's MP man. Hell I denounced UC3's MP but I still sank 264 hours into it. I must've put at least 300 or close to that in UC2. It may have been mediocre to a Halo/Xbox stan but it was fun as hell for me.

If it was great we would hear about it every day, it would be picked up for tournaments etc....none of that happened...move on son.

I played a good amount of multi in UC2. It's prob my most played PS3 game. You won't ever hear me speaking on games I never play when it comes to competitive gaming. LOL @ me not playing it because it's a PS3 game...who do you think I am son? I'm not a corny nikka who goes out his way to not play shyt because it's on a different console...what is wrong with you?
