lol its about $16 to make and ship those shoes. I can get a sweatshop worker from Shandong China to US for $2,000 round trip to make me some Jordans for less than the retail value at Flight Club.

That honestly sounds like a nice come up:patrice:How hard would it be to set up an underground sweat shop and recruit folks who know how to make Jordans? How would retailers know you're not making em on the low?

If you don’t have any designer in your wardrobe then there’s no business in us talking. There’s a difference in quality for sure have you seen these in person? They are good quality

Nah breh, "Money can't buy class" is a true saying.

A lot of folks think more money = more quality when that's the furthest from the truth. At some point you get no return on yo investment

Certain rappers, they also have bills to pay
That's what I'm saying. A lot of these young rappers really not caking like that to where they can spend nearly 10k on shoes(definitely if they know they are getting up charged) and not really worry about it unless they are just careless with money

:laff: nikkas in here talking about the reactions are fake and they reimburse them. Jimmy Fallon makes 10m a year telling shytty late night jokes and was pissed he paid a stack for some Js in a beat up ass box. Expeditious TI asking about his preferred member discount like he in line at the price mart. IDC how rich you are. Shoes are shoes and not worth paying full retail
Them joints are like x100 over retail :russ:
Only them hypebeast kids are only okay paying that

Designer>> over priced street wear atleast with designer you actually paying for quality instead of hype

agree with this. Street wear used to be dope when I was younger. Idk, maybe I’m older but streetwear used to be somewhat affordable based on the quality and a bit more exclusive. Nowadays Shyts just overpriced, doesn’t last or hold value.

you still haven’t answered the question

why are they 1000$ ? What work is done on that specific shoe to mark them up to 1000?

just admit..you enjoy being finessed by designer brands ..there’s no problem with that . Saks fifth ave is in business for that exact reason

there’s a difference when they are talking about their premium goods...like their bags, leather stuff, etc...but any designer t shirt or something like that with just print or stitching on it that cost 400$ is pure finesse

agree with you to an extent too. The one thing about these designers that if paying for is there timelessness. T shirts can be overpriced, but leathers, jackets, accessories hold value.

That’s for any brand period. The handbag shyt is not accurate at all you have some bags that use exotic skin and shyt like Hermès has crazy craftsmanship into their leather goods like you actually have to graduate from their own school. shyt one person could be working on one hand bag for a week you obviously don’t know what you talking about and pulling stuff off the internet outta your ass

Yep, these comparisons don't always fit to those to research behind the scenes

Back in the day people were saying about Japanese selvedge jeans being too expensive, but they were handmade on only 2 of the looms left in the country. Or watches that use handmade, in-house researched and developed movement with 0.1 sec +/- changes being $$$$$'s...

Sometimes it's the story behind something that makes it great and wearing that story and telling your own. I think for some people they just don't care though, I mean I rock $50 jeans and a $4500 watch. Everyone spends over the mark for something or another

dude has the highest selling hip hop album this year and the biggest hit song in the world in the past 12 months -- you dont think he can afford a $7k bill ? :dwillhuh: if the #1 artist in the world, currently, cant afford something, who can :dwillhuh:

he just knows he got finessed thats all.. yall think too much into some shyt sometimes
He can afford it, but his bread isn’t long enough to make a 7k purchase of sneakers an afterthought. :francis:

Streetwear used to be original, with brands whose creativity saw them take risks that pushed fashion forward. Alife, Acapulco Gold, King Stampede, Triumvir, Mighty Healthy, etc.

Alife is still around, but the others are dead.

shyt is unoriginal, corny and borderline :wrist:I wouldn’t rock the vast majority of shyt they call “streetwear” nowadays.:scust:
