7 yes, 9 no. I don't really see much, if any, rap that promotes drug abuse.

I think a lot of you are in denial if you dont think at least some of those are true

Its not to say that, hip-hop is causing any of these problems (drug abuse for ex.) or thats its responsible for shyt, cause its not.

But just cause we all love hip-hop and are ethical people who can think rationally dont mean some of the list aint true

shyt, the points about classics and nostalgia are shyt that we talk about here every day damn near. Conscious rap being corny, ghost producers, the "new generation" etc etc

7 and 12 are the motherfukkin truth :wow:

You rap nerds done fukked the game all up :smh:
:what:

I think this mentality of yours is related to number 14:

Rap's popularity has declined significantly in mainstream America.

I dont think anyone would make the argument that all socially conscious rap is dope and viable, but in many respects fans in the last decade were conditioned to think that ANY socially conscious rap was inherently boring or nerdy, w/o giving it a proper chance. This mindset limited overall material, and the diversity and quality of hip hop as a whole. Now we have a broken art form.

Look at all of hip hops biggest "stars" and the subject matter that was popularized in the last 15 years. Has that been "nerd rap"?? So how the hell are you blaming conscious folks?
