Honestly I feel if you need Rap Genius to understand Hip Hop you haven't been listening to rap long enough. I'm not saying Lyrics don't go over even the biggest rap fans head but the point is to do your own research to understand the slang and lyrics. Rap Genius is not legit to me. I know some rappers including NaS got on there but I don't co-sign a Wiki style lyrics site. Again Only been to the site a few times, I don't care for it. Some of the translations up there are wrong too. Complex is weak though with all those average list.

there are references to things you may not have known about and the purported reason for the site is to explain that
