IMO, Ludacris should've been where they have Cam on the list. Ludacris had a presence throughout the whole duration of last decade. He impacted with his debut in late 2000 and continued to be a force. Sure, he started droppin' mediocre punchlines near the close of the decade, but dude was still a force. He was murdering guest appearances and has a solid catalog.

Cam was dope, but outside of 2002-2005, "Curtis" was the biggest thing that he did. And I'd even say that Purple Haze is a classic, but he's ranked too high.

This being Complex I am thouroghly shocked that Kanye didnt make the top 3. I would def put Ye top 3 projects over the likes 50 and Wayne.

Lupe and Luda should have been on the list. Not 3 stacks and not Jeezy. I would rather seen The Game @ 10 over Stacks who doesnt even have half the quantity as most.

Nas not being top 5 is a slap in the face but I completely understand coming from them. They even had in their article that The Lost Tapes dropped after God Son. Which just exemplifies their lack of knowledge on Nas work. SMH

Lupe and not Jeezy?
Jeezy's impact alone puts him on the list.

Lupe has 2 dope albums and 2 wack, i.e. he had 18 nice months, let's say 24 to capture the fahrenheit series.

Jeezy had 04-09 locked down. 3 dope albums and about 3 certified classic mixtapes that made more noise than peoples albums and about 5 other dope ass mixtapes.
+ 2 group albums that went gold and were well received on the streets.

If were talking success though... Nelly should be on the list...
I think it's a combination of the whole package, just success alone can be broken down into several pieces besides record sales.
Like impact of success, building a brand, consistence of success, building a solid following etc.

I don't like the order, but the actual selections were respectable for an industry list going by industry criteria. but andre shouldn't be up there. big boi had a better decade than him and he doesn't belong up there neither.

nelly should be on the list instead. the only thing outkast did in the 2000s was numbers. and nelly did more numbers than them, so there you have it chief.
:dead: @ Kanye not having more success or better albums than 50 in this time frame
50 was more successful and had the bigger and better album between the both of them.
and youre forgetting all the mixtape work that 50 cent put in.
50 trumps kanye by far.

nelly did all of that.

Ill take the Fahrenheit series, F&L Advance, F&L Retial, The Cool, and FOTP over Jeezy.

As a rapper Jeezy isn't seeing Lupe. If your heard one Jeezy album you pretty much heard them all. Can't say the same about Lu.
