Villa Straylight.
My father had a closet of gators, I have these. The establishments I go to, billiards hall, strip clubs, concerts, beach, family events, movies.... I dont need anything over casual (jeans and tees, a polo/hilfiger if I wanna be extra). Im comfortable and everything is cool.

Now back home in Bahamas where everything is different status. Them nikkas wear 3 piece suits to work and shyt, thinking they in London or NY. The clubs down there sometimes be on dumb shyt.

I have to admit a few weeks back I visited Charlotte, and went to 1 club that was upscale and I was out of place, I dipped and ate that $20 entry fee. And went to a strip club instead. Heard that was Peters club from Housewivez.... everyone inside was dressed nice, I was in florida gear.

But fukk it, back home to my 5bed, with 3 cars (all regular nothing special). And Im good again. Probably go out tonight in Jordans, sweatpants and a tee...
Oh I'm from NYC and half my family is Bajan. Suits look cool to me. But it's whatever you're comfortable in that counts.

Serious question.
People in the hood die over shyt other than just Jordans. Should we be mad at car brands for putting out cars that people kill over? Should we be mad at Apple for putting out phones people kill over?

I'm not mad at Jordan for capitalizing and profiting from his brand. It was a very smart business move on his part. That's not what's dumb.

Whats dumb is, you have grown men who have spent thousands total on Jordans but don't own anything else except a car.

No, not all, but it's not uncommon either.

What's even crazier is many will try to act like most Jordans appreciate with value, like they're precious metals or something.

I know one of these sneakerhead nikkas will say I need to "mind my business" but offline I could give a fukk, I never say anything about it, im only giving my opinion because this thread is about Jordans

But not all. Collecting sneakers as a 30 yr old man? Idk bro better things to spend money on ( waits for the drugs reply)

Dont yall throw a hissy fit cuz some of us dont dress like we 16 no more

I got everything from Jordans to suede loafers to wingtips to vans in my closet. You can own a variety of shoes. You act like we getting a new pair of school shoes and going to have to make them work for the whole year.

nobody fukking with jordan like that anymore

That's a bold face lie. Do you even go outside? Their is still a very high majority of people wearing Jordan brand shoes, whether it's the retros or team brand joints. And people of all ages & ethnicities still wear them.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
People saying Jordan's will be played out are bugging. It's not just the shoe. It's the name it's the brand it's the legacy. 10 years from now a new generation will be hyping up the same shoes.

And it's not just about the shoe... its how you rock it. You can have on a pair or yeezys but if your fashion game ain't up the snuff people wont notice. People buy shoes just to have them but don't even know how to pick the right outfit to rock em properly.

ALL of these cats are over the age of 30 & still wear Jordans, and NONE of them look ridiculous or immature.

Maybe because all the people who used to wear Jordans grew up. Pretty much everyone over 35 I see in Jordans still dresses like Funk Flex and the shyt looks awkward as hell :francis:
Bomani Jones is that age and he admitted that he buys Jordans and travels a lot now because he makes the money now. People who bought them since high school might be burned out 20 years later or their collection may be complete.

yea, i dont get how u could somehow be too old to wear them. when were they ever considered a kids shoe? what kid can even afford something so expensive. the idea that only about 60percent of sales is retros surprises me tho. i personally never see anyone wearing anything outside of them, never the newer models.
