Truthfully, I'm not sure if Jordan's brand is what it used to be

A lot of people under the age of 25 never saw him play. They didnt grow up idolizing Jordan. They grew up with Kobe, Bron, Durant, Westbrook and now Curry.

Seems like the Yeezy's have indeed jumped over the Jumpman

I never cared for them. They are overpriced non sense. Glad my parents raised me to not value brands. Well they couldn't afford it growing up but now that I can myself, I don't give a shyt about them.
Let me tell y'all something. Im a hard core sneakr head. I worked for Nike right after highschool while in university. I was dipped in free gear for days. Used to do marketing events. By the time.I left the company I had ammased over hundred pairs. Mint in boxes. I wore samples and majority of my shoes were obtained at deep discounts or free.

I haven't worked for Nike since 2007. I haven't bought a sneaker in years. Still got under a hundred pairs. Sold all.my Jordan's new and worn and promised myself I wouldn't have em again till I got a crib to house em in. My point is that don't knock people. While your parents raised you that way so did mine but I like brands so I was motivated to get them in a way that didn't cost me a lot. In that sense things you like can benefit you. Working for Nike gave me a network of friends and acquaintances y'all would kill for. I was working around NBA and Olympic events rubbing shoulders with great athletes. That experience was worth it. All from a love of shoes. Anything can motivate you.

my parents couldn't afford to put me in Jordans when i was a kid.
i can't afford or justify putting Jordans on my feet as an adult.

i buy a new pair of sneakers every 2-3 years and i take damn good care of them.
personally, i rock Pumas and i have 4 pairs at this point.

2 pairs are beat down and 2 pairs are looking brand new.

i paid $45 or less for each.
enjoy it while it last, Pumas making a comeback. They'll be $90 soon

But that is just you though, the same opportunity is not available for everybody. Most poor black folks that buy these overpriced will not make it to where you are at.

A lot of poor black folks over value material things way too much. I am sure you know how much these sneakers are really worth when they are being manufactured. They are overpriced trash. A lot of the kids from poor inner cities waste their money buying these things when the money could be going elsewhere. I personally hate seeing that. I would go over to my buddies crib, his brother still living at his momma house has every new pair out yet his life was not in order. That is just having fukked up priorities.

Only J's I fukk with are the Royal ones. Jordan is a c00n tho and doesn't give a fukk about black people or the people who die over them. The quality is weak as hell too. fukk em.

That's on em. If you gonna kill or Rob/ go in dept for a pair of shoes then your a clown plain and simple. I don't entertain people with a victim mentality. Too many hustles in the world. If you want something go get it the right way just flex your brain muscle.

I had a connect in Atlanta via niketalk used to ship shoes back n forth whatever was exclusive in Canada and vice versa. We both ate well.

Yup. Some of my best friends. One is high up in the office to this day I get 6 pairs on average a year for free from the marketing department shipped to my house. Invites to events etc n we still hang. Why I left is a whole other story but the moral is don't get p*ssy @ work :snoop:
