Complex- Why Nas' "It Was Written" Is Better Than "Illmatic"

Lyrically he was better but the production was a little thin, i can see the debate....

Intilectual Reciprocal writing for Complex now? IWW was an amazing album to me. But Illmatic was on another level. Pretty much every song on Illmatix is timeless.

Dont credit me with this terrible article. Sure IWW is better, but they gave Illmatic way too much credit to be written by the Gawd. Illmatic was a fukkin terrible, terrible album. IWW was damn good besides the obvious.

In an article debating whether IWW is better than arguably the greatest rap album of all time they still manage to dikk ride Jay-Z. You gotta love it.

I know many people that feel that way, and I've said it for the longest. Schoolboy Q said what a lot of people around our age group feel that aren't as hard hit by the nostalgia of Illmatic. IWW is just a more complete project.

and oddly enough I agree... Illmatic is like the Bible... a terribly written book of fairy tales that only sheep actually enjoy and no one really reads.
