In contrast, Not Like Us hit #1 in May 2024 and was still the top song in February 2025, holding a spot on the Hot 100 for 53 straight weeks. The track was so massive, it played a major role in Kendrick landing the Super Bowl halftime show and sweeping the Grammys. That’s the level we’re talking about. Back to Back wasn’t a global anthem.

Back to back deserves some credit for being a mainstream diss record, but it did not do what Not Like Us.

Not Like Us is goat diss song… no idea why people are clowning the pick lol. We have never seen a diss track reach this level of mainstream dominance. Diss songs usually stay within hip hop circles, even when they’re massive. Ether and No Vaseline were huge, but they weren’t inescapable global hits. Not Like Us is different, it’s playing in clubs, at sporting events, political rallies and on the radio like a regular chart topping song. It’s become a cultural phenomenon, not just a rap beef moment. The embarrassment isn’t just in the pedo lyrics, it’s in the fact that the entire world, not just hip hop fans are dancing to a song tearing Drake apart. It’s an unprecedented level of public humiliation, where the diss isn’t just acknowledged, but celebrated on a massive worldwide scale. No rapper has ever had to deal with a diss song being this universally embraced.

Different climates. And with none of that, not even radio play, Hit Em Up did the same. Their list seems primarily based on mainstream appeal, not quality of dis.

At least number #1 is spot on. Nlu is the only undeniable song that deserves that spot, even when you put impact aside

Mtg should have been 2. No complain about no 1, there hasnt been a better song than not like us objectively. And on top of being the Best written song, its the most impactful one.
