If thats not enough I have a mining rig with 3 EVGA 270x cards with 4 gigs of ram and an amd processor , willing to upgrade ram and and processor if it means i can run Yosemite

It's not how powerful but the type. Since u have Intel and nvidia you shouldn't have too much of an issue, especially since apple uses 550s in their high end laptops
