Ignorant question perhaps... do people in Compton not own their cribs? It’s not public housing right?

I stay in Compton now. The thing about Compton is that it has direct access to 4 major freeways so you can get to downtown LA (where people work), the beach/ports, and hollywood in a reasonable amount of time. Basically it's in a central location. Also housing in LA is stupid expensive and Compton is one of the only cities where you can get a house for under 400k so its really one of the only options for people who aren't rich

It's still ghetto here (not as bad as back in the day) but I can see that shyt changing in a decade or longer as they build it up and more people move here because there's not many other cheap options.

There aren't any white folks here now (mainly mexicans here) but I think the city is in too good of a location to be like that for long.

and thats the problem when they die their kids will sell that shyt to the first cac offering 500k and their gone

U can't blame alotta ppl for selling. Alotta ppl wanna just leave the gang violence, lack of opportunity, high living costs, and military police state there.

Out of curiosity what area u stay in?

I been eyeing inglewood and Compton for housing for a min. Feel like I missed out on inglewood, prices already gone up cuz of the stadiums.

aka "Hub City".

My parents & grandparents used to always mention how Compton was primarily white when we were there. I figured it was only a matter of time before they'd be coming back for their prime location.

They already working on Crenshaw district
