You got plenty of black kids pursuing computer science and computer engineering at HBCU's, breh. Even though I got my degree at a different university, PV engineering grads been eating good down in the H.

However, networking and programming are two areas of IT that it pays to network or have connections. Those Asian dudes are putting each other on everyday.

This.

I know some nikkas in Economics and Engineering at my school. One eritrean dude especially eating right now. Finance student myself but the fact remains is that we aint got the rope to pull ourselves up any hoo. Not an excuse but lets not act like we gotta work that much harder for the same results. Either way, I'm finna :eat:

where they cross-over and clap boards
I majored in Computer Science and in my office it's 1 white female, 1 Indian, 1 black (myself), and about 8 white males. The most awkwardly nonsocial people I've ever came across :snoop:

Only one of them watches sports but its the smaller teams that no one cares about like Hawaii or Toledo :why:

Makes me appreciate the-coli so much more :sadbron:

I think there's a misconception about Asians in IT...It seems to me that companies feed into the stereotype that Asians work hard and are extremely intelligent (Not saying some don't work hard and they are unintelligent)...I know the ones I work with are a bit dense and a few have been let go.

I think what a lot people do not realize is that when it comes to Asians, it's expected of the children to be in such fields.

The kids are expected to be engineers or doctors, even if they don't want to be.

In some ways it's good (It has cause them to be a very successful group of people) but, in other ways it's bad (Serious pressure to keep up the good, smart image for the family; it's even worst over in Asia (Especially East) than here in America).

Computer Engineering major here breh. We're out here. The depressing thing about working through the courses in this major is that the higher you go in the math classes, the less and less scarce black people become in your class. :sadbron:

Also you start to run into more of the no social skills type of nerds. I'm a nerd, I admit, but some of these guys have aspergers/High function autistic level social skills and couldn't pick up on social cues to save their lives.
