Where did u learn it? And any advice? Taking class this Spring
Nice, got that one bookmarked. I'm starting with 2D platformers since it doesn't take as much time to make sprite animations compared to 3D characters with animations. Got the basic run/idle/jump animation for one character idea that I'm hoping catches attention when I put development build gameplay video online...Not gonna say much about the game but everybody I've showed the animations to has started cracking up and demanding to play it.Yeah, whatever framework you decide to buy on there. Make sure some type of documentation is include lol. The best framework I've seen on there so far has to be -

Good documentation and alot of comments in their source code. A ton of Trig used throughout also.

Of course, I'm definitely not going high res like that. Set everything up in Photoshop so it's pretty easy to move the pieces for different movements. Got a couple 3d characters ready to go but no solid idea on their game ideas yet. Got this little kit that I'm gonna use as the starting point for a simple 3D game. Asset Store![]()
If the 2D is very high res it will be SIGNIFICANTLY faster to do 3D from an animation standpoint
We used Unity for all of my team game build classes so I got to learn how to use Unity pretty well with trial by fire. I actually ended up doing the scripting and putting the games together in Unity so I got to figure out a lot more than the people that focused on the art strictly. Gonna check that site out since I'm always looking for more ways to do things in there. Lynda, DigitalTutors and youtube tutorials have gotten me by so far.If you haven't checked it out yet, there's alot of good Unity 2D tutorials on udemy.com
Still working on breh@Lord Infamous did you ever start to make to your app?
There's this idea going around on the net that after 1 month of learning code you can magically start making shyt by yourself or be at silicon valley popping champagne with the ZuckerbergsIf you've never made a game before, you've got your work cut out for you.
^ And this is definitely part of it.
Check out this page: getting_started - gamedev
Further down on the page, they recommend starting by making Pong. And you might be thinking "I don't want to make Pong. That's a simple ass game"
Except there's a lot going on under the surface:
All that said, don't let any of that discourage you if that's what you want to do. Just know it's going to be a lot of work
