About to finally watch this as the Pope Francis just passed.

The end was meh.

This was interesting as a non-Catholic to see this process
Cool movie - not sure why I thought that these dudes were above reproach bc they are "holy" lol. Turns out they just bring their lived bullshyt into the role and let it affect how they work.
My takeaways:
- how are Cardinals picked?
- John Lithgow's character was devious on multiple levels
- African Cardinal got hit with the epic flu flam.... institutional, to say the least
- Every time Benitez was the focus, it was chaos. From the time he came on camera, I knew he would be pope. Benitez having a uterus was an unexpected wrinkle lol
- Voldemort bent the process in his favor. Game of Thrones level trickery and politics
